Cash machines

Is it true when plonkers walk away without taking the cash the machine sucks it back in after 30 seconds?

Took £50 out yesterday and walked off without the money

Im hoping it got sucked back in and I will be refunded. Hopefully it wasnt taken!

Yes its true.

My brother did this once and was lucky enough to get his cash back via the bank.

First time I have ever done it.

For some reason as soon as the card came out I just took it and walked off. Thought the cash came out first

Went to the bank today and got printed off some form by one of the cretins.

It says to make sure to write in the boxes except he has left all the default items in the boxes....

The date boxes have DD MM YYYY

and even more fun the signature box has inside it "PLEASE SIGN WITHIN THIS BOX"

It must depend on the bank.

My brother left his cash in the local branch machine, mentioned it to the girls next time he was in (date, time, amount etc) and when i was in next they gave the cash to me to give to him!

Nothing like personal service

I did this once just after coming back from an extended trip to Oz. The machines work in reverse down there, giving you the money first then your card back.

I was suffering from jetlag so my befuddled brain assumed that card coming out was the end of the transaction and I just wandered off. Lucky the person behind me shouted me back, thank god for honest people.
