I had some webspace doing nothing (and was bored ) so decided to get a decent chatroom up and running.

It's there for all to use/abuse as you wish and will be pretty much unmoderated. I may also try and sort out a weekly day/time for a chat session if that's something everyone may be interested in?

I think once you get the linkback in your email, it's asking for the Turing number, not a logon code.

I just went through the signup process and it seems fine:

The 'You have submitted incorrect data' error occurs on the login page if you enter the wrong password/username, have you clicked on the register link on the login page and actually registered as I cant see your account?

I have it but my hosting company banner it or said they would take the site offline as uses too much server resources.

Can I run the chat on 1 server and the VB here?

admin if you have those sort of restrictions where ever... move it!

if you would like a nice cheapy raq with NO b*lx restrictions... drop a few hints

the F App (there are many versions) will all work on any php4/5 or redhat enviro, where you put it in VB is solved via a mod / hack (of which there are plenty) some F apps actually get random traffic hits... always good for G

now the chat is a subject, how about a forum / sticky to GrantW's while you get yours sorted...

live chat adds clout to a real issue that needs solving...

Any chance we could get the chat room to connect to a normal IRC network? Rather than having a browser open all the time I much rather have another SSh window with ircii
