Chilean miners found alive - but rescue will take four months

A totally collapsed roof means they'll be in a pocket mine almost half a mile beneath the earth for four months. Then, when the rescuers finally break through, it'll be via a 2 foot diameter shaft, through which each one will be pulled up. I feel claustrophobic just thinking of it!

Yes but imagine their elation at having received the probe knowing that they will get out alive! I'm sure that would have been one of the happiest moments in their lives. Every cloud...

theyre not rescued. theyve been there 17 days, which prob feels like an eternity

they got another 120 days to go!

surely mining companies around world can pool expertise and get them out in a few weeks?
