the .com is up for sale at $6000 (although I dont know if that is the true value).

40,500 local searches and a 8 letter domain.

Is it worth more than the reg fee or should I park and develop later?

Not a good punt by a long chalk.

Tag on the additional 'UK' for the very, very occasional purely uk defined (strong keyword) sevice maybe. Clocksuk has the same value in .com and .co.uk = Nought/Nothing.

Your going to stay on the wrong track if you use others inexperience as measure of your own investment
