Any thoughts on Company dot net ?

Debating two options, to sell or develop.

Not sure about value, but you'd almost certainly get more from it on an international forum such as DNForum.com than you would on here...

If I owned, the lowest I would take would be £4k (lets talk in £, we are in UK here )
thats not an offer btw

highest I think could obtain would be 25k range

selling company names, company formation etc might be the route
tax planning another option

don't normally like net but works well with keyword and can help with companies getting online and online issues etc possibly as an angle

you won't have any joy selling .net to uk domainers though

You could sell subdomains on it...

I like it, tend to agree it will have more worth to a international company/enduser than uk.

Price
With time and exposure its the sort of domain I could see being sold in the low/ possibly low mid $xx,xxx range rather than four figures unless flipping it. I stand by this even if its a .net.

Uses
I had been thinking it would make a good professional network sort of development but the .com is doing it, and they also own the .info.
Could be a great brand for a virtual offshore company offering small companys support be it vpa, pr, marketing in a box type services.

Thats not strictly true. DNforum people are just as tightass as Acorn

I've asked for appraisal on bathrooms.net over on DNforum. Lowball offers via PM galore, some interesting viewpoints but none the less the forums generally are not the right place to realise top value.

I'll buy them all day long for developing on.

I know Frank loves them too + others lurking here.

If I had capacity at present to do it justice I'd offer for the domain.

exceptions to the rule imo
fair to say vast majority of uk domainers not interested in them
almost all i'd say
that would be fairer

bargains to be had if you're a developer though

generally if i sway away from the .com or .co.uk
i'll take a .org

Generally agree with the comments made. As far as .nets go this is probably one of the more workable examples. I would be sizing-up all the other extensions in an attempt to see where this domain possibly holds ground.

Value is a hard one on .nets. It is always someones second choice - whereas I agree with Pred in that .org can often be the first choice (IN TLDs).

I've held some good .nets over the years and never had so much as a sniff at any of them ( i don't advertise them) So it is one that you've got to put out there - to try an attract some interest. Which makes .net always an extension operating in a "Buyers market"

That's quite a large range you've got there! I'd follow Edwin's advice and ask over at DNForum.

I would say the domain is worth no more than low £x,xxx. Its not the best name and the extension doesnt do it any favours.
