You'll have to be careful you don't get sued for passing off. Registering names "confusingly similar" to existing domains is risky enough but you could at least claim if confronted legally that you had never heard of the other domain and your registering a similar name is a coincidence. But publishing a plan to deliberately do this could stitch you right up.
