DACr will be closing to new bookings as of 14/2 and I'll be killing off my public catching duties.

To be honest it's simply not viable when competing against an increasing number of private members - new and returning - even though there have been a few scattered successes in the last 12 months.

As Dale has noted, the market is changing and resources are required elsewhere.

If the market is there then I may start to provide a hosted solution as others do currently.

UPD: Just to make it clear and easier for everyone. I'll be taking bookings upto and inclusive of 14/2. This means that any domains booked at that point will be monitored, essentially phasing out the no of domains over 30days. Saves me having to cross-check who as booked what and when.

Cheers. You of most will know how it's changed recently.

It's a reluctant move. If Nominet were to throw a lifeline of an extra dac allocation or 2 then maybe, but at present it's like firing a shotgun at a target a mile away, when you need a sniper rifle, or at least a mortar launcher!

Drop me a pm. Not changed anything recently. Likely renewed. All monitored domains are checked twice daily to see if they're still suspended.

Doesn't show when I do a search for that specific date, but if you say it is booked, no worries.

Shame you are closing your service, and also that you have a 30 day limit, would have really done with a chance to register another which is a bit further down the line than that
