I finally went to the dentist this afternoon, walked in "can I make an appointment please?" Sure we can see you now... came the reply, it's only been 16 years - bad boy - for anyone out there just go, don't leave it.
The check up and clean set me back about £70 I think, xrays and medicine another £10 on top. She's lovely, if my dentist was like her when I was 13 I'd have gone back every month not every six.
I have to go back again Thursday, a mate knocked half a tooth out a few years back after I pushed him off a stool in one of Millwall's hardest boozers - trust me that act deserved instant retribution, a tooth which eventually fell out and just left the root so that needs taking out and I have a wisdom tooth I aint needed for ten years apparantly so that's going too and maybe one other that gave me jip about six years ago.
After the cleaning though, it don't half feel good and looks better. Terrible really, should have gone a lot sooner, then after that hopefully she'll bung a bridge in, top a few other teeth off and I'll almost be human again. Weird aint it, for all you younguns out there - I'm 30 on 1st July - listen to advice given to you, everything in moderation but have it good once in a while and keep your health in check, it's important. Yes Dad.
It feels like I'm going all green but I aint, I stopped smoking Xmas 2005, lost almost five stone, moved abroad, cut down the drinking, stopped gambling, cleared debts and now I'm getting health sorted and this summer I hope to be in Italy and Romania with my top off getting some sun on the beach and getting laid regularly would be a nice prize for me efforts. So you younguns and you olduns, look after yourselves. This was a message from Lee Owen - consider yourself done by Millwall.
Cheers
