It without doubt has promise and the suits the extension well, but with the slc at number one in google for 'studen loan' and 'student loans', I can see that being a tough situation to change. Best of luck to the new owner!

i am amazed at this price ,how would you monitise this domain there is only one student loans company ,there isnt an affiliate scheme for them either...maybe i'm missing something ?

I know, that's what I said, hah . Talk about tough competition. I felt the same way about a sports domain I saw advertised on here a little while back. It appeals to me, but then I did a google search and saw BBC, Sky Sports and wikipedia at 1,2,3, and thought thanks but no thanks.

Of course I don't want to put a complete downer on it. Whoever has bought it probably has something in mind for it, ideas for monetising it etc. Maybe not everyone wants to use student loans company, or perhaps some students get out loans etc.

No, no, it's me . I misunderstood your post. Number two as well (for 'student loan'), wow!

I suppose in terms of backlinks you can see why the official sites would draw so much interest. Lots of links in student forums, resource pages, and high authority and government sites.
