Amazing price.

If I saw the auction earlier then I'd have bid higher - just a category (photography) that will always have a significant market, amateurs to professionals and serious money is always spent at the tradeshows.

Tripods can be expensive and then there's their use in film.

I know exacts don't have the automatic value they used to, but a name like this will always have its use, appeal and companies who would benefit from it...

Really like this name.

Perhaps I should have listed it in the Premiums section first for a bit but hey ho... on the flipside, 7 day auction with 145 unique views suggests it did get enough visibility. Dunno. There were some big fish bidding, including "Buyer1".

Yep it is what it is.

Really weird market. Is it the effect of changing SE algorithms, .uk, gross, or a maker that inflated prices a few years ago when domainwrs had more money and could speculate?

I think its because its too niche of a product. Many shops/stores don't just sell tripods, they sell cameras and also tripods.

I know what you mean Mark, but even still £275? It just seems wrong for tech/consumer/professional products that sell for hundreds and that are a necessity for any real photographer.

Especially as there are companies that just make tripods too.

Funny time to sell at auction imo, lots of domainers are individuals with families and it is peak school holiday season. I know of a few regular buyers currently away. Nice domain though, strong market, didn't spot it
