on a domain or buy 20 odd shares in Lloyds or RBS - it's an obvious no brainer..
 
There are plenty of things that offer chance of return if you registered names 10 - 15 years ago your chance may be better, Registering now although there are new products etc is much harder as awareness (well sometimes ) as to the potential of the net is more common…

If registering new and doing nothing other than that and hoping of a return I’d say very slim to no chance even with a high initial budget speculatively there a poor or not an investment… For every one that makes money thousands don’t its a lottery without the balls

Domains used to be free I believe it’s the low price that’s keep most people registering crap ;) . There are worse things you could spend it on…
