I think that there are domains that will drop as companies forget to re register them or go bust etc I know of one IT based company that had over three thousand domains that has gone into liquidation and although some will be kept by ex employs etc thousands won’t
If your trying to make a living out of it then checking companies house etc for bankrupt dissolved companies also eve standard etc for example Barings bank when they went under you could get all there domains for the registration fee. (co.uk is available now) you can make small revenue from there back links through traffic etc bigger the company more links and of course some will have good names
I also have found science journals good for new products inventions etc on a purely speculative bases bio and green issues seem to to be a good future market
