Hi,

I see quite a few companies offering domain brokerage services. But how mature is this market?

I have a few domain name in certain niches and I would quite like to find a broker that would proactively market those domains to motivated buyers, but does such a service exist?

Eg, I have some gambling domains, one would be great for any bookmaker that offers betting in running, another would be great for horse racing, then I have a bunch that are based around male health products that is not quite brought to market yet.

Does such a service exist or am I best doing the leg work myself?

Thanks

Graham

You could try "G" domain brokers then contacting them. But most of the time the better names you’d have brokers etc pestering you thats there job to find buyers and sellers ?

They sound pretty easy to identify end users contact them yourself start top 50 companies etc

Thanks for the feedback. I guess what I'm asking is what value domain brokers bring to the party.

Eg in other markets brokers can be an effective way of selling for a better price than doing it yourself, because the broker already has connections with a pool of recognised buyers in the market that you may not be able to access directly.

In the domain world it doesn't look as mature as that to me, I get the feeling if I used a broker they would do little more than I could do myself, but I'm trying to gauge if that is a misconception.

What do you think?

It really depends on the broker and seller which has the better knowledge, contacts etc If they can sell it so can you,, ditto if you can’t ? What most are after is someone who can sell what they can’t and often that’s not a broker its a miracle worker there after .? :)
