DNA Pro doesn't now work properly with the changes to WHOIS - i.e. suspended names show as Taken with no date rather than Renewal Required with date.

Anybody any ideas how to fix?

Thanks
Stephen

Domain Name Analyser Pro WHOIS Settings

Open DNA Pro
Edit
Top Level Domain List
choose ".co.uk"
click "settings"
click "WHOIS Server Settings"
Advanced Setup
Set Domain Status Tokens to = "*** This registration has been"
Set Expiry Date Tokens to = "Renewal date:"

Works OK for me now.

You can also get the registrar name.

Go to the same place and choose "registrar name tokens"

Enter - "Registrant:" now you can see who has grabbed each name.

To shorten the WHOIS info, in the "cleanup whois ouput" option enter ". ***"

also adding 'has been' where shown above will alert you if manage to get the EXCEEDED message from Nominet

I might not have entered this properly but adding this bit messed up the output for suspended names with the dates etc not being picked up.

Stephen.

I made the changes recommended and it works ok - thanks.

However, I think I've noticed a glitch. I no longer get any results stating "Registration request being processed" nor "Renewal Invoice being processed" nor "Renewal required" as the domainer equivalent of an addicted trainspotter, I do want that data...

Before I have a play and probably mess it up, can anybody recommend a way of getting such status info to report like it used to please?

Thanks.

Domain Status tokens should read -

*** This registration has been
has been
No agent listed. This registration is
Registration status:

in that order

expiry date tokens -

Renewal date:

Registrar name tokens -

Registrant:

Under the initial page that pops up where you can set the 'Search token' (already set to) No Match for

if you change this to -- it strips out all the copyright text, but will also remove whois info for any domains with double hyphens in, not that that's a real problem...

These settings give me all the necessay details you are asking for.

Cheers

DNA Pro and DAC

Does anyone know how to configure the setting in Domain Name Analyzer Pro v4 to use the DAC

It says on the softnik site that this can be done but i just dont seem to be able to get it to work even though the IP address is allowed DAC access.

I changed server to dac.nic.uk and port to 2043 but i think i am missing something. I am thinking that i am going to need to set the string tokens for the DAC output...but am short of inspiration.

Any help or pointers appreciated
