Hi guys I'm trying to get a domain (its a .com) - there's currently no site, the domain just links to a godaddy.com holding page.

The domain status is "On-hold (redemption Period)" - I cant find any contact details in the whois.

I'm not entirely sure what this means...I do have a godaddy account..just wondering if:

1) I should use either godaddy's Domain Buy Service(£47.59+commission OR Domain Back Order (£14.29)
2) Use another service.

Anyone got any advice? I am an affiliate not really domain buyer, not sure how the process works...anyone rate Godaddy and their Domain buy service?

Thanks!

I always use Back Order with godaddy, 99.9% of the time godaddy always get godaddy names.

The domain buy service is for existing names (not expired), so backorder it and see :)

Yes I do the same as Skinner and have a 100% success rate over a dozen or so dotcom names over quite a few years.
