Domain Sales Agreement

It looks hideously complicated to me and the sort of thing that makes both parties distrust each other.
That red stripe made it very difficult to read. So here is what it says:

removed due to copyright infringments

Firstly, the agreement is copyright and being sold for £54 a pop - so I am guessing that the owner will not be too chuffed to know that it has been posted on here.

Second, I have taken a quick look at it suggests it would be very unwise for a seller to use it for .uk domains. It includes a warranty that :

The Transferor is the exclusive legal and beneficial owner of the Domain
Name and agrees to transfer and assign, with full title guarantee...

Given that the official position from Nominet is that they own all .uk domains - and they merely grant the Registrant a contractual right to use -that warranty is not one that I would advise a seller of a .uk to sign.

I should add that the contract is for a .com - and in the US at least .com domains have been recognised as property - so the position may be different there.
