just thought i'd let u know what happened at barcelona.

there was about 100 people there from all over the world . lots from the states and spain .

people seemed unconcerned with the new .extentions and felt if anything it would mean that .com and .tld would be worth more .

at $200K one off and $25K pa did not think that many would go for the new extensions.

there was a good seo guy or talked about how to improve ur ranking

1 root domain diversity
2 title
3 alt tags
4 bounce rate
5 social media
6 CTR on google search results
7 too much advertising
8 check out google best practise for adsense adds
9 flat link structure

fun was had by all lots of parties to the late hours good food , and some great excursions .

all in all a great place to meet lots of other domainers and talk shop .

buy and sell
little dodgy ? (typo and tm )
adsense
affiliate
leasing
developing

mobile web was hot and everyone was talking about that.

apps V mobile web

most seemed to think that apps would be a bridging technology as new HTML 5 based sites would be able to do the same as an app ie access phone geo information and contacts etc...

google guy was there , it seems google are really worried about keeping ahead in mobile .



as always learnt lots from some of the other guys.
women around 15% of total mostly working for companies rather than domainers.

and barca is an amazing place

Many thanks for the update. I've got a name in their extended auction but there appear to be few bids on any domains listed If I remember correctly, the last snap/extended listed ~400 domains, and I think ~5 actually sold.

Thanks brum. I do like to keep-up with domainer conference agendas and feedbacks, They just seem to come across too much of a "Jolly" for my ol'bones to actually attend

hi guys,

yeh sorry forgot to mention about the auction ... a bit weird really they called it off at the last minute really apparently all thier servers crashed !!!!

but to be honest there was not that many people signed up for the auction on the day. i guess most of the buyers would be on the net and therefore they had to call it off, they did do a nice spread in the auction anyway nice food , drink so i had some lol
