I have looked through all of the info I can find on Domainlore and I can't find anything that says who should pay the Nominet fees after sale, seller or buyer, though I've had a few glasses of wine tonight and may have missed it.

Anyone know?

Usually the buyer :)

By bidding, you are stating that you are ready and willing to purchase that domain name for your bid amount, plus pay domain ownership transfer charges to Nominet (which is historically being paid by a buyer) and Escrow fees if you must use that service.

It's always been the buyer in my experience too.

I would say as a rule of thumb, the buyer unless otherwise stated!

P.s. It’s a shame when the Nominet fee could buy a nice Pinot Grigio.

buyer pays

after all, physically the seller has to choose who pays when he submits the transfer request
he has to check the box who pays, whether buyer or seller
so seller decides, always

if someone is paying xx,xxx , i'll pay.
usually
