Yes, there was a message about it a little while back. Let's face it, if a name's worth having at 30 quid, it better be worth having at 43 quid or you're doing something wrong!

yes i loaded the current jobs domains that dropped a few days ago and got one out of the entire lot....absolutely gutted i hope they are trying to improve there script quickly else they might find they lose there competitive edge....

That's why I couldn't book any with DM (cheeky) ;)

I think they sent an email out to all customers regarding this a couple of weeks ago.

Yep - just found it! Buried in amongst stuff about .co domains and 'special offers' for .me.uk.

I ignored it too, feel it should have been more clear considering it looks like the new price will be charged on domains you had already booked.

Yes good point...i have loads of domains that were booked months ago and when i accepted the contract it didn't mention the hike in price....mmm

wouldn't have done you any good mate....they missed nearly all of them i got a single one and that was the least popular search volume....

i would have done better sending a carrier pigeon to Nominet it would have been a lot quicker...

That's the problem with public catchers, the more people use them the less successful they become at catching.

They do only take 1 person per name though so shouldn't make much difference, they should invest in a mega quick script and keep it updated.

The more people that use it the bigger the range of domains being booked, if they've got 50 domains booked per day it doesn't matter how quick the script is they're mainly gonna be picking up the scraps that other catchers aren't going for. Even domcollect are beating them regularly at the moment!

Exactly, there must have been 40+ of the jobsin* domains alone that deliajen booked for that one day, plus what any other customers booked. They did catch a reasonable name (IMO) that day for someone, so they don't do too badly.

Right now I only go after one name at a time, all things even I would have had better than 40 times the chance of grabbing that one name.

If they only use 1 account to poll for domains, surely its now impossible to catch anything decent at monster, unless of course, no one else is polling at the time.

Guy from acorn got a great one the other day, but for the rest of us, I cant see them grabbing many in the future. And I never got any email telling me about new prices?

Apart from that certain name that always pops up with good monster catches, seperate script?

I would be happy too with some of your great catches :)

You cant knock their customer contact service though, instant replies and quick answering of phone calls.
