Caught today, fits the org.uk perfectly, it's a low exacts term but still a nice name for anything donating/charity related, please make any offers below, no PM's:

donating .org.uk - (pre reg date 2007)

Payment by PayPal only, buyer pays Nominet fee, immediate transfer.

I think Graeme had an £xx,xxx offer for donate.org.uk a while back

Yes, I remember when that one was posted about by Graeme on here, just did a forum search and Frank made a post saying Graeme had received a £15k offer for donate.org.uk, and I saw another post by Graeme saying it had been sold on Domainlore, but checked the Who-Is and it's still in Graeme's name, so not sure if it sold or not, did buyer pull out?

This name isn't quite as good as Graeme's name, but still a nice name in it's own right on an extension that suits it down to the ground.

Looks like it was Graeme that bought it from DomainLore back in 2009:

http://domainlore.co.uk/donate.org.uk

Strangeley enough, exactly two years ago to the day.

Thanks for the DL link, WB, I thought it was a domain that Graeme had caught and had an offer on, rather than one he bought.
I think Graeme recieved the offer after he purchased it. Looks like it was registered a week or so before the auction so was a "caught" domain.

IIRC it was a domainlore catch by graeme so had to be auctioned, I think he set the reserve high so that he could buy it himself?

I believe his decent offers came from marketing the domain to end users, something you're never going to achieve by dumping it on here 2 minutes after catching it :)

Ahhh, that makes sense then from what I've read, thanks.

I know mate, I've tried contacting end users before for other names, but not sure I even email the right addresses, if I can't find an email addy, I just email them all to info@ their domain names, possibly explains why I never get many replies . Plus, I'm no good at writing to people, I try to keep it short and to the point, but end up writing enough for a short book, I try to shorten it, but only end up taking parts of text away and replacing it with sometimes longer passages of text, I find it hard to put things in to words :) If anyone thinks they can find an end user for it, I'm quite happy for someone to broker for a %.

Could be worth dropping Graeme an email to find out whether he would be interested in offering it to the charity that wanted Donate.org.uk for £15k (assuming he doesn't want to sell his domain to them and would be happy with a slice of your sale price instead).

Nice domain by the way and I agree it fits the extension well. I should really start looking through drop lists again! :)

Certianly looks to have potential. As others have said, maybe there's a good sale in this one if you find the right person/company. Hopefully Graeme can help out.

@ WB and Newguy, just sent Graeme a message via his Greywing site to see if he can offer any help with offering the domain, provided he's not still trying to sell his donate domain.
