Isn't the big disadvantage that .xxx is pretty much blocked by every nanny program and business in the world and probably not search engine friendly, so you are essentially cutting your audience away.

I'd use a diff extension for a general site.

Agree, Skinner! A few days ago, I used Yahoo to search for some information on people who used to be in the p-rn industry, but I found out that Yahoo even blocks the word "p-rn." (I didn't search for p-rn, so don't get me wrong! :-D) No more questions about .xxx! Also, many people would not click on .xxx, except people who like that kind of thing.

You'd be better off with any of the other major ext, not .xxx

For example: dubstepfans.co.uk, dubstepmusic.org, dubstepfan.com all currently FTR.
