Now I've registered some howlers in my time, but looking through tommorow's drops couldn't believe the number of domains starting with 999 that were going to drop.

The registrant "Cheshire Cat Ltd" has over 1100 domains starting with 999 currently in a suspended state many of them dropping tommorow.

To make it worse they were registered in 2000 meaning they would have already paid 3 lots of 1100 x £6 , i.e. £19800 in reg fees.

Am I missing something here

I'm considering catching 999peru.co.uk and developing it into a web site where people can report their stolen Llamas, can add links to sites selling pan pipe music and poncho's , should make a small fortune in revenue.:)

This is one Cheshire Cat that is definitely not grinning.

999liquidation.co.uk was one of the few they didn't register.

It's appears they have 7000 x 999 domains including a fair number of .coms.

Some of them have sites - such as 999today.co.uk

You may find some of these have a history and backlinks.

I can't be bothered trailing through them TBH.

wow thats amazing....well I guess at the time of the dot com frenzy they thought it was a great idea. every man and his dog were trying to make money from the dot com hype....rather like the property market today. Anyone remember the reversal in interest between technology and property. Look at the sunday supplements!

Still the property domains actually pay very well...and I've got shed loads of them! So perhaps the hybrid is the way between the collapse of one and the regneration of the other and vice versa!
