eCOP

I have been approached by someone in China looking to buy a domain name off of me and they've suggested using eCOP. I have taken a look at it and it's good to see that they offer pound sterling transactions. Does anyone know of any reason why I would not choose to use eCOP or offer any advice in using it?

Never used ecop but heard it is OK. Look at escrow.com also.

Heard a lot of BAD things about people from China buying domains, so be careful.

you can totally trust ecop.com
done many transactions through them
actually safer than escrow as buyer and seller has to upload documents proving id etc
escrow doesn't

also a lot cheaper than escrow. I use whenever I can

owner is francois who owns domaining.com and very well known and respected in industry

Used them for the first time today,have to say they are fantastic, verification process took all of 3 minutes and completed the entire sale in about an hour.

Will definitely be using them for every transaction from now on.
