ELP! Outlook blocking internet connection...

Hi guys,

Hopefully someone can help. When email is downloading/uploading all my internet connection is jammed until it finishes.

Firewall? Hummmmmm well stumped.

Any ideas? Thanks

Are you using outlook express or outlook 2003?

Is you virus software sanitizing you mail (ie for spam,checking blacklists etc) ?

Outlook 03, and yes it scans everything.

Could be your antivirus thats slowing you down which one is it by the way.?

I also think it's because of the viruses.

Check CPU usage when you're downloading. If it's high then it's the virus stuff at work.
