EU Cookie Legislation - What You Need To Do

With the 28th of May 2012 deadline fast approaching for all websites to adhere to the new privacy and cookie legislation, I thought I'd share what I'm doing:

Right load of old pony aint it, is this just a UK policy?

I have a privacy policy link in the footer of some sites that I use Adsense on, that link will remain at the bottom of the page, I ain't changing anything, I don't see the need.

@ Diablo, on your site, you say:

You’ve probably already noticed Cookie Control in action on this website. Look for a small orange diamond with a C on it in the bottom left-hand corner of your screen if you haven’t. Click it and an orange box will appear asking for your permission to use cookies during your visit. If you agree, the box disappears and the diamond turns green.

Nothing like that shows at the bottom of my screen, I'm using Opera browser.

They really can't enforce this! Big waste of bloody time. Major disadvantage to EU online business too

Whether you agree or like it or not, affiliate programs are going to expect you to be compliant if you want to stay as an affiliate.

I've already received two emails today from two companies advising me about this and to be aware that compliance is going to be required.
