Hi Guys

Do you think this would be good for developing as a forum? Do you think enough people would be attracted by the name, i.e. somewhere where they can find experts? I'm thinking of developing it.

Its one of those which the domain really has no baring on the success in my opinion, you could put a good expert exchange, stage overflow or generic forum setup on any domain, branded or niche targeted.

If anything because yours is so generic instead of tight or specific niches you could struggle to capture enough attention with out a decent budget.

I would have thought though that if you were serious about developing you would have the sense to register the plural .co.uk and .uk at least even if the .com's are taken. You're just asking for competition which you might not be able to compete with..................your welcome ;)

FTR :

expertforums.co.uk
expertforums.uk
expertsforum.co.uk
expertsforum.uk
expertsforums.co.uk
expertsforums.uk
expertsforums.com

Some don't like pural versions of forum domains but that's down to them , if your going to protect a brand at least spend some money doing so, thats not even considering the other major TLD's which are mostly available but ive "assumed" your not bothered about anything other than the UK market............thats another discussions though.
