When a stock shoots up in value you never get news headlines saying

"Investors gain billions as BP surges".

Stocks may go up as well as down.:p
 
It's so big and well known now I don't think it can fail, it's not worth 100billion now but I reckon it's only a matter of time before they find their Adsense/Adwords moment.
