Last night I caught my very first drop - thanks to dropcatcher.co.uk

Quite frankly, I wish now that I'd never bothered. I was just doing a random search for names that came into my head and found it detagged & suspended and I thought, better use up a credit!

Interestingly, and I'll come to the name in a minute, it was owned by the Guinness Group since 1997.

Now do you think they let it drop on purpose or could it have been an admin error.

The name is cruzcampo.co.uk

Should Guinness come back for it, am I obliged to just hand it over or can I sell it back to them? bearing in mind that I've just called my first daughter Cruz Campo Ellis.

only kidding

You would think so but why?

It's a big brand beer (biggest in Spain) owned by Heiniken with international distribution, in every supermarket in Britain and there is a fair few seraches for it.

I think I'm going to try and sell it on to a drinks distributor.

I also caught another duffer pcom.co.uk I'm going to try and get a quick turnaround on that too

I forgot I did that....doh

Anyway it's still a crap domain - although it has had a few hits from somewhere.... One I'll have to try and offload

You never know oaky, I might let it go for that in the end.

I got it when I was, let's say, restarting in the domain game. Drpcatcher had failed to get me a couple of domains that weren't all that anyway and I was filling my credits up with anything that came up suspended just to see if anything would be caught.

Since then, they've got me some crackers and I can't praise them enough, but it's really competitive now and I've learnt a hell of alot in the meantime.

It was really the fact that Guinness were letting it drop, one of their top brands, enticed me to keep in on my list.

You live and learn
