I've had and sold a few fishing related domains over the past years. I think this is an excellent name if you have an interest and can develop it to its full potential. As fuzzer said you could sell fishing tackle and other fishing related equipment but I would go further and have a forum, blog, etc if that was my thing. Sadly though I have only been fishing a handful of times and never caught a fish (got an eel once but I don't think that counts). Anyway I think the sale is good and the buyer got a nice price.

I think it's a great brandable name, and i'll be surprised if I couldn't sell it for more. No development plans for it, but let's see what happens

That's the beauty of domains, some people see value, some don't. I've got an idea to flip it, but I don't want to give the game away.

I thought this was a steal for this domain for what its worth. I'd go for forum / equipment. Fishing is by far one of the biggest pastime around. I wanted to bid myself but managed to get a temp ban from domainlore for being a forgetful muppet . Its completely memorable for the people who would be interested in visiting the site. Its what they are.

I had a domain up for auction. Received an offer outside the auction which I accepted. Let them know it was sold and asked them to take it down. Banned for 6 mths. Its fair enough really... didn't read the small print and just didnt think about it. My own stupidity.

edit.... it was an offer from someone i had contacted way before starting the auction and not an attempt to cirmvent anything to do with domain lore.
