Hi All,

Is anybody else getting a 'forbidden' message when attempting to view their site ?

control panel seems ok.

yep, just confirmed an intermittent fault with namedrive, 1 second its ok the next its showing forbidden. My other domains (with same registrar 1&1) that are parked on whypark are ok (links verify), this explains the drop in revenue.

Hi,

As far as I know, we don't have any error message which reads "forbidden". Please could you send the source of the error page next time it happens as I've never heard of this on our system. Thanks very much.

Ed

Ed,

All the source says is 'forbidden' in the top left hand corner in firefox, but in explorer it says

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 3.2 Final//EN">

<style>
a:link {font:8pt/11pt verdana; color:red}
a:visited {font:8pt/11pt verdana; color:#4e4e4e}

// in real bits, urls get returned to our script like this:
// res://shdocvw.dll/http_404.htm#http://www.DocURL.com/bar.htm

//For testing use
//DocURL = "res://shdocvw.dll/http_404.htm#https://www.microsoft.com/bar.htm"
DocURL=document.location.href;

//this is where the http or https will be, as found by searching for :// but skipping the res://
protocolIndex=DocURL.indexOf("://", 4);

//this finds the ending slash for the domain server
serverIndex=DocURL.indexOf("/", protocolIndex + 3);

//for the href, we need a valid URL to the domain. We search for the # symbol to find the begining
//of the true URL, and add 1 to skip it - this is the BeginURL value. We use serverIndex as the end marker.
//urlresult=DocURL.substring(protocolIndex - 4,serverIndex);
BeginURL=DocURL.indexOf("#",1) + 1;
urlresult=DocURL.substring(BeginURL, serverIndex);

Thanks UG,

I sent a PM from tech asking for more info.

Cheers.

Hi Ed,

I've figured out what the problem is , when I try to verify links to my main site (trinetdesign) using my web editor I get the 'forbidden' message against all the domains parked at namedrive (it verifys ok with domains at other hosts) and sites at namedrive are unavailable for the next few minutes from a browser. I guess I'm just going to have to not verify sites (although it used to work before).

You have to know the adds don`t apear on many countries, maybe cuz you are forced to sex adds on all your domains by ND.:???:

Thanks.

Thanks for your helpful comments, E3SARCOM. As you may have read, we have resolved the situation and have worked with Uglygit to sort this out.
