Apparently not compatible with windows7 upwards according to Adobe. I'm using cs2 on vista and it works ok. (which is a miracle as vista is a bag of shite).

They arent actually giving away a license, they broke the licensing server so released a serial which will allow it to be installed. It will work but you wont be legal.
Of course i doubt they would do a great deal if you did happen to install it without owning a license...
