Free Traffic?

I'm always cautious of anyone who says that can get you lots of traffic for a small fee, nevermind anyone who says that there is a way to do it for free.

But I'm equally cautious about spending money on getting traffic too! so as it is free I thought I'd give it a go. The catch phrase reads "Send me One Million FREE Guaranteed Visitors." That's quite a boast - I'll be happy if it generates a few hundred extra website visitors!

Not sure if anyone else has tried this - I only joined today so can't saywhat impact it's had yet. Hopefully this is of some use to some of you!

Sorry, I disagree. I don't think this is spam, and it certainly wasn't meant as such. It is not indiscriminate, nor is it junk and is not forced upon people like spam is. It's just a link to a potentially clever way of getting free traffic - just because it includes a referral code (which I don't earn money from) this does not automatically make it spam

Indeed isn't it the same as any rererral appearing in some signatures such as http://www.sedo.com/showcase/?tracked=&partnerid=14743&language=us&productid=1110.
(which appears in admin signature, not mine!)

A quick look around the forum and there are plenty of accepted posts that are closer to spam than my link, so clearly there isn't common approach to appying the Forum's "spam" rule.

Given that the forum spam rule only say - do not spam, it might be worth getting an agreed definition, so that people don't innocently fall foul of the rules or get misreported.
