What a summer it's been - has felt like autumn for the past week
Haven't needed the air conditioner once - might have saved some energy if my wife hadn't turned the central heating on
The little olive tree I recently bought shed a load of its leaves a week ago
At the same time the house martins in the nest outside my window scarpered to a better climate. No chance of them changing their mind as they crossed the channel. Mid August - must be some sort of a record (normally sept-oct) http://www.rspb.org.uk/wildlife/birdguide/name/h/housemartin/
Ah well - footie season's started - Man Utd have just 2 points
Watford have started well, and locally it might be Bishops Stortford's year.
