DB - this is really now taking the piss.

Timeline:

• 1/7 you gave bank details, asked for payment and my email so you could transfer. I made payment and gave you an email to transfer
• 1/7 to 5/7 I sent PMs/emails every few days asking for you to start the transfers before I went away on a trip. No reply from you despite you logging in and out of Acorn
• 5/7 I called your mobile and the line went dead. I text - no reply. I called a landline on the whois for another domain, your dad passed you the phone and you said you'd start the transfer (I explained I was going away the next day). The transfer didn't come that day.
• 7/7 I sent another message explaining this is bad business and I'm concerned about this deal. No reply from you.
• 10/7 I called your landline, spoke to your mum who said you had a virus on your computer and that might have been the reason for the slow reply. I told her I was concerned about this deal and how you hadn't replied to my messages for 10 days.
• 11/7 As we are linked through FB, I checked out your wall and saw that you had been posting regularly on your wall while ignoring my messages. I sent you a FB message saying that ignoring my messages and going silent for 11 days from the second I sent you payment for these domains - is taking the piss. I explained that if you had issues, let me know, then no problem. But ignoring messages while you have my cash is a big problem especially while your FB messages put you online every day since I made payment.
• 11/7 (around 6 am) you first response to my messages:

Hi Matt I've had some time off I am sorting the transfers now for you

Well DB another day (plus some) has gone by since your message and while I'm happy you're well-rested after your break (during your time off you were able to visit Acorn, live on Facebook, and count the money you received from me without any consideration of taking a few minutes to transfer the domains or reply to my messages asking when you intend on transferring the domains...).

You have to see how scammy this seems and how handling this deal like you have done is completely and unnecessarily, unprofessional.

It takes 5 minutes to transfer a domain name. At this point I'm not going to try and fathom why you didn't transfer the names before your "time off", or why you are putting me in a position where I have to hunt you down or publicly bring out the details of what's happening... but it's close to 2 weeks since I paid so how about we get this done now? Just like you said on 1/7 when you requested my email for the transfer, just like you said on 5/7 when I caught you on the phone and just like you said yesterday at 6am when you told me you "took some time off and will transfer them now".

So how about it, can you spare 5 minutes to do the transfers? (and maybe another 5-10 minutes to arrange the site transfer?)

I'm tired of chasing...

Update: DB the website is now down which can only be a bad thing (SEO/indexing...) for the value of what I purchased from you and the .co.uk seems to be without a tag. Can you do something about this ASAP?

He obviously has more going on in his life than acorn and domains, so although annoying, just give him a bit more time.

It's quite easy nowadays to mean to do something only to realise that a few days have gone by, and when writing emails you mean wholeheartedly that you will do something, but by the time you get home, life makes you do other things.

There are no huge events happening in Garstang as far as I can see, and you could develop without the domain active.

If you were just going to throw up a site in a few days, then again, no loss in waiting.

Unbelievably it's me saying nice things about Sean, but it needs saying. He's bought domains of most of us, he's sold bargains, and ahem not so bargains to virtually everyone, so why not just wait till Monday, your money is safe, I'll guarantee that and I'm skint, but prepared to go overdrawn, Just these posts get me down.

I thought so too. I've bought domains off him in the past too and would never have thought the deal would go this way. I'm even linked with him on FB and come from the same town (or maybe a neighbouring town) hence why I used BACS to send cash within an hour or so of him asking. But to wait almost two weeks for him to reply to messages (PM, email, Facebook)... Even after I caught him on the phone, he said he'd transfer then, but didn't.

He put me in a position where his credibility is called into question.

I understand that for the first few days, maybe the first week. But after that I started nudging him almost every day? He could have replied saying give me a few days because of _____, but didn't even reply.

I bought a website off him along with two domains. The domains aren't now resolving to the website which is now offline - surely you can see that affects the value of the purchase? Also I paid quick, I expect a fairly fast transfer. Maybe not hours, maybe not 3 days, but within a week. Not to have messages ingored for 12 days.

If you were just going to throw up a site in a few days, then again, no loss in waiting.

My loss in waiting is now that the site is down and I still don't control it. Maybe my loss is in flipping the site. Maybe my loss is having 4 days off work and having time to do something with the site that I now cannot do.
The magnitude of my loss however big or small shouldn't affect the expectation of how the seller conducts the sale of a domain/site.

Why do you think me waiting until Monday will help? He's ignored my messages for almost 2 weeks already?

Yes you are right to feel annoyed and worried, but no need to splash it all over acorn.

If say after 21/28 days you still have no domains, no explanation or refund, then moan away and admin will ban him im certain, plus you can call the police as you have been conned.

I cant see you being conned hence my offer to pay you if you wish.

So next time you get the chance of an absolute bargain from Sean, just say no.

Splashing it on Acorn may have helped start the transfer. Sean initiated the .co.uk transfer (waiting on the .com and site transfer and will remove my posts later)

Caz, if you ever buy anything off me I'm going to be tempted to make you wait your 21/28 days without response... If you buy a website from me I'll take it offline during that time too... I really can't see you waiting patiently.

Sean I'm following up from my call the other day where you said you have other things to do, and I said so did I, then you said you'd give me your fasthost details and I can transfer myself...

So can you give me any idea when you think you'll get around to transferring the .com and the website that I bought and is now offline? (or giving me your fasthosts details so I can login and do it myself)

Would be nice if I didn't have to beg or waste more time on this. It's been over two weeks now since I paid...

Maybe you could tell me the date you're going to transfer. Any information?

Before this transaction I always thought you were a decent bloke Sean. We're from the same place, you gave a shout out to one of my websites when you were on the radio that time (which I appreciated).... I never expected this...

You are having me waste all this time sending you messages and calling... while on FB you show how you're relaxing in your garden sipping milk!

Anyone have any ideas? If Sean has any mates here please can you find out what's happening?

I have no idea why you think that you are giving me the site for free. I made an offer for the names and the site. You accepted the offer, gave me your bank details and I paid. That was clear from the start, before I paid and every step of the way as I hassled you to transfer.

Would you be happy if you paid for something within hours of me giving you my bank details and I didn't give you what you paid for (a domain and the site) even 17 days later?

It's been 17 days and if admin didn't contact you, if I didn't hassle you on FB or message you, or call and speak with you how many more days would this go on for? What timeframe do you call honoring a deal?
