Personally I think they should just get on with it and bring out direct .UK registrations. It should have been that way from the start.

But what are the chances of .GB coming back if .uk doesn't get passed?

Nominet seem determined to introduce new second level registrations, especially now all the new gTLD's are on the way.
 
Bringing .gb back ?

That might happen if Scotland declares independence :)
Then a lot of .uk would migrate to .gb or .co.gb depending on the naming structure chosen...
Thus .uk won't be an issue anymore :rolleyes:
 
I be interested to know what the tld would be for scotland post independence, i sent an email to mr salmond several months ago, he has backed the .scot, and the reply back was that .scot would be our cctld, did email back that cctld, are 2 characters, didn't hear anything back
 
If they ditch the UK, they won't be getting off .scot-free :D
