Hi
I was wondering what kind of population a town/city has to have to be able to make a living from its geo domain name? just thinking about city.com or town.com or maybe .co.uk/.de type names.
Obviously if you own newyork.com, you arn't going to be working in factory ever again, but what about domain name owners with small geo city/town names. What is the minimun population needed. There of course will be two types of town , tourist towns and normal every day places.
Would a non tourist town of 100,000 be able to make a website generate say $500 a week? or would owning 5 geo towns of 100,000 people make $100 each etc? Of course it will depend on how well the website is developed, competition, etc. Would love to know peoples views on this and especially from geo domain owners who make a living from them.
thanks richie
