GetAFreelancer.com SCAM?

Hi all, getafreelancer all of a sudden suspended my account, no email, no explanation, no 'live' support available and no contact numbers for them.

They have money of mine which I'd like back, I'm unable to login and when I try I get this...

"Sorry, your account has been temporarily suspended. The reason for this and
a link to resolve a specific issue with your account may be shown to the right:"

Nothing is shown to the right and they've ignored a 'critical' support ticket for nearly a week now. Paypal won't help as it's not a physical good.

Anyone here had a similar experience and able to help me get my money back?

Tell them give me my f'ing money or I'll goto my credit / debit card company and hit the charge back button

Chargebacks are pretty problematic from companies so they avoid them as best they can

Hi Paul,

Are you sure your account hasn't been hacked into? We asked getafreelancer to cancel our account about a week ago after we got a strange email from a third party (looks like they are based in Russia) which had our getafreelancer username in the email title. My concern was that our account details had been stolen (I found by google search that a scam involving the same web address had involved some elance clients). Getafreelancer cancelled our account and I told them to keep the £5 credit on our account. I must say that getafreelancer were very quick with their customer service - I would try contacting them again - perhaps see if they have a phone number that you can call.
