Hello

I am completely new to flipping domains and website developing. I have given up on flipping now I have achieved one sale and got a portfolio of 20 and no one seems interested at the moment in just buying the names. So I am going to develop some.

I have just finished my first very basic site www.dissertationproposal.co.uk and it has been intially approved by Google for Adsense. Does anyone have any tips regarding Adsense and ensuring the site gets formally approved (I have just inserted the Adsense code into the source code of the home page.)

Thanks

Dale

Trying to help you here:

- don't use sitebuilders provided by your host. Much better to use something like Wordpress or if you are keen html. Wordpress is very easy to use (i.e. I can manage half decent sites in it). You are going to find it very hard to add content areas such as sidebars etc. otherwise.
- don't apply for adsense until your site content is up to scratch. You should probably have at least 5 decent and useful pages.
- if you do get adsense added, make sure you have a privacy policy.

Finally, before you spend time developing make sure you are sure that the contentis monetisable. I think you could be ok with this topic - there are at least some related google ads showing - but have a good think first.

Stephen.

Excellent, thank you for the advice Stephen. I am off out now but I will put your advice into action tomorrow before I'm back to the grindstone on Monday.

Kind regards

Dale

Just checked your site and not seeing any adsense, so I'm assuming it's a new account.
Stephen is right, the privacy policy is a must, or google will close your adsense account. It's part of the adsense Terms of Service that your site has one.
Feel free to copy mine from http://bikehire.eu/privacy.php and remember to change the site name to your own.

FagEnd, thanks for that I will take you up on your offer and use an amended version of your privacy policy.

Jayne, thanks for the encouragement.

Just for the record I will only be working on this on weekends from now on as the last couple of weeks I have been trying to learn what this is all about by hitting it hard and find out the best way to turnover sales. So not too much of my time should be taken up but I will take Stephen's advice on choosing the right domains to develop and I agree I think I should be OK with the dissertation ones, plus I might make the odd £10 here and there from selling my dissertation through the site!

Thanks again

Dale

Thanks everyone, the webiste has now been Google Adsense fully approved. Will look at making the aesthetics better with Wordpress or similar.
