Wanted: Domain Appraisal golfclubcomponents_co_uk - 60k exact uk

I have recently done a catch for this name , seems to have 60,500 uk exact search , with 100% advertising competition ,

what can i expect from this name or should i go for development.

Although you say it's a recent catch it was regged in Feb 2008?

As you're probably aware (by the way you selectively cropped the "trend" graph on your attached picture), the UK search volume for this phrase was between 200-400 until September when it rocketed to 40,000 to 60,000.

As such I'd say it's a false reading and a reg fee name, so it's only going to have value if you develop it into a successful money making site, which obviously isn't going to be easy.

I find it very odd that the UK exacts for a golf related term is nearly non existent during the hotter months of the year :?

I've often wondered about search terms that come from nowhere to be a reasonably large volume, you see them relatively often. Are they errors on Google's part, or is it possible to set off a bot somewhere to search for terms that are then recorded by Google?

Can you explain what you mean by "drop catch domain" as I'm as puzzled as Ty_?

This domain was registered over two years ago so cannot be a recent catch...

"Dropped" or "Caught" means the domain expired and was then newly registered by someone so the "Registered on" date would be a recent date.

Update: I've just seen your other thread.

the only reason i am not putting the name on the thread is its a drop catch and still to come into my account.

The domain in the subject/title hasn't been caught, it's been renewed today by the (presumably) previous registrant.

So dynadot are auctioning them after they are suspended and before they drop?

Dynadot aren't changing the registrant before auctioning, only the address - the day after renewal date. I wonder if Nominet are aware of this?

Unless they're cancelling/reregging them in the buyers name I doubt they're changing the legal owner at all. $19.95 start price will not cover the transfer fee and the renewal fee.

As a Registrar you can also change the Administrative Contact Email which I think would theoretically allow someone to then access the Registrant's account and initiate a transfer.

But as Grant said the figures don't stack up, it will be very interesting to see whether the OP has to pay any additional charges and whether the domain is legally transferred into his name.

yes actually the domain had expired and then was with the registrar and i won it in an auction .

planning to develop it with a cms with some affiliate ads and adsense , will update you all soon on the traffic when i rank on first page for the domain keyword .

Right now I am not even sure if you legally own this domain - through no fault of your own. Dynadot look to be playing a bit fast and loose with these auctions?

It looks like you've bought a domain that they didn't have the right to sell and you now have a domain in your account that you don't legally own!

Is that your name and address in the whois?

its take 30 working days for the change of the details , so only after 30 days you can transfer the name or move it to some other account.

The current owner listed in the whois is not dynadot though is it, just the address. They are selling a domain that they do not legally own.
