I used to have this as a must watch programme, but it all looks rather dated and predictable now. I still watch it, but there are no surprises anymore, and the editing to produce an effect is painfully obvious. It's not even an apprenticeship anymore!

I agree with you a 99% anthony. The participants accept the programme is pure entertainment. So Yes the Editing has to produce at least one "Plonka" for our consumption each week. I've come to the conclusion they are all wannbe showbiz personalities and nobody actually wants to win the show and be Sugars side-kick for a year.

And that becomes obvious when you watch the follow-up programme on Thursdays

I wish they would'nt keep calling him "Lord Sugar" ( obviously his instruction) all the time - can't they just call him AL

I think I read this was at the producers request rather than his - it probably embarrasses him (even if he is a Lord)

Used to enjoy the show - but soon as you realise these people are picked for entertainment purposes rather than any ability they have (opening statement of 'best business acumen and talent blah blah is laughable)- it just becomes another reality show

Bailey...the follow up programme "apprentice you fired" is on as soon as the apprentice finished on BBC 2 so you dont even have to wait.

an Hour and a half of "Everything i touch turns to sold!".....

I applied to the apprentice last year and got through the first few phases, in my opinion they are looking for entertaining people rather than enterprising!

I love the apprentice, one of the only things that make paying the licence fee worth while. Wednesdays night is good tv night, on at 8 on channel 4 is four rooms, some of the prices the sellers expect are unbelievable which is a bit like the prices some domainers expect for their rubbish.
