Been testing my live beta script myself, but no where near finished / competitive yet.

How long did it take to finish your script?

I'm 3 months in and thought I'd be done by now, apart for minor day tweaks...

But can now see another 3 to 6 months of live testing, trying different variables.

Oh the joys of developing a catcher. Let us know when you start re-writing it (which you will, several times)

It's not quite as simple as polling the DAC and then sending an EPP create request when a domain becomes available. There are quite a few other factors that can and do come into it.

It can be disheartening, but stick at it.

I finally have a stable script to poll the DAC and sent a EPP request once its dropped, on lower level domains that have been booked at most of the public catcher had some luck and caught a few... But on higher level domains its a different ball game.... been close a few times after looking at the logs, but been piped at the post.

So back to the drawing board to make changes, testing different variables, i.e polling rates, bursting, etc. etc.
