huhhhh... sadly, can't recommend godaddy to anyone anymore.. :(

who is using godaddy as a semi-pro or a pro investor? are you informed of these policies?

Gospammy have always been an awful registrar in my opinion. I don't think they are used professionally - usually the people I see using them are the ones that think a 'godaddy premium' means they are going to be millionaires. Their auctions are always full of utter junk, pages upon endless pages of it, they are not reliable, and they lie endlessly to clients about domains not being on their tag when a simple whois shows they are. They are the world's worst registrar in my opinion and I doubt anyone serious would use them for any domains of value.

I would disagree it is a bad registrar - mostly works really good :) .. and the auctions are a mirror of the current inventory.

Of course you see endless pages, as they have the largest inventory in the world. .. I just checked the dnforum live auction feed for .com names > godaddy currently has 448k .com domains in auctions: https://www.dnforum.com/live-domain-auction-feed/com .. no-one else I know has such an inventory.

I've never had issues with them.. apart from realizing that can't recommend any client using godaddy (hostmaria clients very often are late with payments).. we still activelly suggest clients using other registrars for purchasing domains - our business is just hosting (at least while we are working on our first registrar addons for our whmcs)

'godaddy currently has 448k .com domains in auctions'

That is *not* a good thing. Especially when they lie to their clients and tell them they're 'premium' or give them ridiculously high appraisals to encourage them to renew/register. People want to find quality not quantity. There is a reason that godaddy auctions are very rarely featured in the top domain sales each week yet marketplaces or selective auctions are.

You may have never had issues with them. However my clients (and then consequently myself) have issues with them almost weekly - in fact only yesterday someone had to give up and transfer elsewhere. You are only one person.
Also for the last 2 decades on other domain forums (many that don't exist anymore) there have been many cases of other people having major issues with them.
Basically if I see a seller is using godaddy as a recommendation for a sale I immediately assume they know nothing about the industry and have nothing worth selling. They are a registrar for the 'masses' not the professional.
