Hi Guys

I have been looking at productivity techniques, and have discovered something called the Pomodoro technique, which is just a fancy way of saying work for a set amount of time, then take a break for a set amount of time:

However, it does seem to work. I recommend 20 mins work then a 7 min break.

There are quite a few toolbars and apps that track what you're doing and how long you spend on gmail, skype, certain websites and so on. I'd suggest anyone who struggles with focus and productivity to try one of these. I think the amount of time you spend doing things online other than actually "working" will shock you.

Personally I don't like any time restrictions or planning in general. I don't do things on certain days, don't eat at certain times or get up/go to bed at certain times either. In fact if I do have to do anything by a certain day or on a certain day it infuriates me :D

Does reading and posting endless articles fall under work or break for you?

One good point about this technique is that if you time your breaks, it will stop you wasting more time than you should, so it is a good way to keep focused.
