Introduction Hello fellow domainers

Just a quick introduction from me

I have been interested in, and actively buying domains for around 15 years

I guess I started off by securing a couple of domains for my parents small heating business as they weren’t sure how to do it, and then it became a sort of casual hobby, buying a couple of random domains each year with no thought to their future value or anything like that

The interest in domains, and digital business in general, never really left me over the years that followed, and in 2021 I set up my first “online business”, an ecom store.

It was a success, and that was the catalyst to move me “fully online” in business, rather than continuing with the more traditional offline businesses I had been involved in previously.

2025 will see me try to take a stab at trading domains for profit which is something I have never done before.

I have a plan in mind to carve out my own little area of the market, and I’ll be happy to keep you guys updated with progress

Looking forward to learning on here and contributing where I can

I haven’t been involved in the heating business for a few years now but not a lot has changed to be honest

In domestic heating, the shift towards buying new boilers online happened a few years back and seems to have stuck

Heat pumps on the horizon, although how mainstream that will actually become is anyone’s guess - the market is currently being propped up by subsidy’s which could be removed at a moments notice

Overall it’s the same as most trades, if you provide a decent service you’ll get some work, but it’s highly, highly labour intensive and not highly profitable

But I do limit how much I watch these YouTube business guru guys.
