I am a newbie, I wish to learn more about domains from here.

i am not able to find out a correct appraisal of domain name (self appraisal) I wish every one to put some spot light on this

I have not yet registered any domain names, from few blogs i learned register domains only when you have some knowledge on domains

Yes, this is good advice. The best thing to do is to obtain a Google Adwords account (which can be done for free) and you can then see EPC rates for keyphrases and work out which domains are valuable accordingly.

Yes It is a good idea and i worked out, but most of them are already registered.

I think if i search for few 100's i can get 1 (or) 2 quality phrases.

If i search for 1000's is it possible to get a one word domain.

At a blog i found as such, choose "strong two words" as domain names, What is meant by strong words
