Hello everyone I'm new to AcornDomains and somewhat new to domaining as well. I started back in November 2008 and can understand why this is such is a great hobby and/or addiction . Hope to get to know all the regulars!

Hahaha, how many do domains do you have and how long have you been domaining?

No where near what some of the guys have on here, but about 400 ish now... but selling a few each month to try and keep control, it really gets addictive...

Yeah no kidding. I'm looking to keep myself restrained until I learn exactly what it takes to turn over a decent profit before I invest anymore. If you have any tips you want to share I will definitely be interested in hearing

I'm probably not the best for tips, but always look out for the next big thing, like hybrid mail (search and you should find me at the top), or dualcore netbook, noticed the .org/ .org.uk was available, but out of money to spend this week.

i'm with you for looking out for the next big thing. can't grab old names with lots of staying power i've found, and if you do your grabbing it in an auction. don't get the whole hybrid mail thing yet, but your right you are on the first page. been there long?

About a year or so, its a growing market and fantastic way of saving businesses money. I have had some very good offers for it, but may hold on for a while.

thats great to hear that keeping on top of things has helped you with some great offers. hope to hear that you end up making big off of it if you do decide to sell. might actually be worth more if you just run some ads on it though no?

Lee, on the outskirts of Niagara Falls, maybe about a 10 min drive max from the actual falls.

Synapsis - here's a tip for you. Open a Google AdWords account (it's free), then use the traffic estimator tool and you can see ad spend on a given keyphrase. It really helps when assessing potential domain purchases.

Thanks for the tip accelerator. I've been addicted to the keyword search actually the last little bit trying to find what I can. I recently purchased Felony Lawyers and Attorneys which has a $32.20CPC, so we'll see how well those ads will convert
