Hi all, my name is Elena and I'm happy to be here:) .
I'm new to domaining and I did a lot of mistakes that costed me about 600 £ ;) , so I wanna share with you how you should never do if you are new to domaining and hope this will be helpful for somebody .
I sold my first domain just a month ago . It was china-reviews.com . I bought it for myself but I had no time to develop it , so I was really happy to get offer from Godaddy to sell it to their client for 825$ . The sale was completed and I got my first REVENUE from domaining . But after that I decided that domaining is very easy so I spent all money on new domains . Should I say that it was the worst domains ever ? (sometimes , watching on them , I wanna cry :( ) but anyway I got some experience and I believe that in a future I will find my perfect xx.xxx domain:rolleyes:

Thanks

P.S This is my first post, so do not judge strictly if something wrong

Welcome Elena :)

£600 is quite cheap for that lesson, considered it well earned. If only my lesson was so cheap.

Top Tip what works in .com rarely works in .co.uk so watch what sells in .co.uk before you dive in :)

Welcome to the forum. It sounds as though you had some luck very early on. Always keep in mind it's harder to sell domains than to buy them.

Hello Elana, where are you from?

What extensions did you buy, .com?

Welcome to forum, Elena!

Congratulations on you sale and as guys already mentioned most newbies loose a lot of money at first.

Most I have made for one domain is low £xxx and make few £xx sales monthly. You doing great ;)

I personally started with buying very few domains at first and only picked up any new one's once I made any sales, or parking revenues! Main reason for it, I had very small budget and now looking back I am glad, because I didn't had a chance to make any lose.. I am kind of stuck with that cautious spending on new domains tough.

Personally, most I have spent on single domain up till now is £10, and most of them are hand-registered. because I know, I still got so much more to learn..

Still far to go until getting better domains and making one of those dream sales in £xx,xxx - £xxx, xxx, but I am sure we both will one day!
