Long term on domains is like "Waiting For Godeau" - and Godeau never arrives, if you know about Godeau!
Parking is for big boys these days, it don't pay the reg fee otherwise, and ICANN etc regard you as a squatter if you don't put a site up on your domains, so put a site on your domain and a bit of Adsense if y got sense ...
