I dont know but hotmail sure are annoying me aswell. I like how it used to be... the new version blocks emails, runs slow and is just annoying.

I had to change hosting a while back because hotmail was blocking all my email redirects from a website.

Ive never used hotmail for years why are you still using them to send emails thats just crazy .. unless its you 2 making all the bogus hotmail enquries going around :)

Hotmail is such 90s man :)

I basicly have my business accounts as normal email website addresses in outlook etc.

But I use redirection for my "[email protected]" So when someone pays it comes up on msn and I can process it instantly.

Same here - good for Spam dodging with little effort.

To keep email flowing from servers to my account, in the last few months I've needed to add SPF records to my DNS, and get a SpamHaus exception for an IP address at home (they're using a SpamHaus list to reject emails from MTAs within ISP's household netblocks). The latter is straightforward on SpamHaus's website - the former is a bit of a pain.

The response from Hotmail's servers usually say if its rejecting/why. Shout if you need any pointers with the SPF/SpamHaus IP address exception.

Can't help specifically with the file truncation I am afraid Lee.

Nick.

Gmail is best, kills spam too, and 2GB data storage so i use it as an online backup tool. If you buy something online email your Gmail account the license code so that when Windows trashes your hard disk you can reinstall everything. Its saved me a few times.

If anyone needs a Gmail invite let me know.

The AD toolbar supports Gmail email notifications too so you dont even have to check for new messages it will alert you on the toolbar.

Do you need an invite, I signed up to google mail on me own, is that the same thing? I don't use it though, it means changing addresses everywhere.

It used to be invitation only, maybe that changed.

I have a domain email that I use and then filter emails to send them where I want (ACCEPTED emails from my DAC go to my mobile phone for example)

That way you keep the same email address but can decide where you want to receive it.

I use gmail too. all I would say if you still need invites, the address you get the invite sent to will get spammed.

I'm using plain old vanilla ntlworld and tiscalii email that I signed up yonks ago with. I give my ntlworld email out to those I trust (banks, friends etc) and my tiscali email to those I'm unsure about (directories etc).

Lee is your account a paid hotmail or a free one ?, they may just be cutting back on the free accounts.
