How Do You Handle WHOIS Privacy for Your Domains?

We all know WHOIS privacy exists, but how do you actually handle it?
When is it worth turning on, how do you balance trust vs. hiding your info, and got any wild stories from leaving it on or off?

I don't care in the case of my domains .. I do have a small LL cctld collection > and would prefer that whois details were available so a buyer could check the ownership by himself and not relying on the page where the domain redirects.

I hear you. When buyers can check ownership themselves, it just feels more transparent and reliable.
